Second Harvest Food Bank

 

In our first year of reaching out to help our community, the 2012 Administrative Professionals Conference did an amazing job of collecting 589 pounds of food! By our fourth year in 2015, we collected 1,409 pounds of food and donated it to the Second Harvest Food Bank! We are very proud of each one of you. And we know that Second Harvest Food bank is grateful for your participation in our food drive every year. In 2019 we reached our third highest donation of 1,256 pound of food. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we were unable to hold the conference in 2020 and 2021. In just 10 years, we have donated 10,429 pounds of food to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Think of the difference that has made in people’s lives! And you’ve been the ones to do it. Start getting ready for 2024 because we are going to challenge you to break 1,200 pounds because we know you can do it and it’s our goal to reach this new amount and with your help, it can be done!

In 2024, the Administrative Professionals Conference will be reaching out and asking each of you to give back to our community again by challenging you to beat 2019’s number. Our goal is to reach 1,300 pounds of food donated. There are too many people in our area who are hungry and with very little effort, we can do something to help them. We are asking* that you each bring 5-10 non-perishable items with you to the conference that will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina. *Please note, we are asking each person to donate 5-10 (or any number you are able to donate) non-perishable items to the Second Harvest Food Bank. This is by no means a requirement to attend the Administrative Professionals Conference. If you choose not to participate in the Food Drive, that is your right and your decision. We are just providing an easy opportunity to give back to your community. We have no way of knowing who has participated or how much you donated.
